Our award-winning mainstage productions — including acclaimed performances of Alice By Heart, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Godspell, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Seussical the Musical — showcase the incredible talent and dedication of our Legacy family. In addition to these large-scale musicals, Legacy is known for its innovative adaptations of Shakespeare’s works, reimagining the classics with fresh settings, diverse casting, and accessible storytelling for modern audiences.

Legacy also proudly produces ensemble-based Broadway Junior musicals, offering young performers the chance to shine in titles such as Finding Nemo Jr., Beetlejuice Jr., Matilda Jr., and Into the Woods Jr. These productions emphasize collaboration, creativity, and ensemble storytelling—core values that define the Legacy experience both onstage and off.

Legacy’s Junior Theater Festival Troupe represents our organization each year at JTF Atlanta, performing for Broadway professionals, attending workshops, and bringing home recognition for excellence in performance and teamwork.

As we continue to expand, our next chapter includes moving into a larger, permanent space—a place where even more artists can find their home and voice. Despite our growth, we remain committed to keeping arts education affordable and accessible, offering some of the lowest tuition rates in the region and scholarships for students in need.

At Legacy, we don’t just build productions — we build community.

Join us as we continue to create, learn, and belong together.

Our Story

Jessica Forwerck founded Legacy Theater and Music Company in loving memory of her late grandparents, Charles and Elaine Goslee. Their unwavering support and belief in her passion for the arts left a lasting impact—one she now strives to pass on to every student, performer, and family who walks through Legacy’s doors.

Legacy was also created with her own children in mind. Jessica hopes to leave behind not just a thriving arts organization, but a living example of what it means to pursue your dreams with heart, purpose, and dedication. It’s a legacy not of a building, but of passion—something she wishes to instill in both her son and daughter as they grow.

Today, Jessica is proud to lead Legacy alongside her husband and co-director, Jacob Forwerck. Together, they are committed to building a space where families can connect, creativity can flourish, and every individual is encouraged to find their voice and their place in the arts.
