Encore Youth Ensemble

Legacy Theater & Music Company proudly introduces the Encore Youth Ensemble Orchestra—a newly expanded program now under the Legacy umbrella, offering a dedicated ensemble experience for young musicians ages 8 and up. Led by the exceptional Meg Schultz, this orchestra gives students the opportunity to grow as musicians in a supportive, collaborative, and inspiring environment. Rehearsals focus on ensemble playing, musicianship, confidence-building, and the teamwork skills that make orchestra such a powerful complement to private lessons.

⭐ What Students Will Learn:

Ensemble awareness & listening, Rhythm, tone, tuning, and blending, preparation, punctuality, and rehearsal etiquette, focus, respect, and responsibility, performance readiness and stage confidence. Like team sports, ensemble music builds cooperation and camaraderie—helping students develop not only musical ability, but also life skills.

⭐ Requirements:

To ensure a successful ensemble experience: Students should have a basic knowledge of their instrument and be comfortable playing at a beginner level. All levels are welcome—from newer players to advanced musicians. Meg will provide instruction tailored to each student. Students must bring their own instrument and a folding music stand (Legacy does not provide instruments). All sheet music will be provided by Legacy.

⭐ Performance:

This 8-week session includes a performance opportunity as part of our Legacy events.(Additional rehearsals may be scheduled if needed.)

⭐ A Growing Legacy:

As a newly integrated Legacy program, Encore Youth Ensemble Orchestra is evolving to meet the needs of our community. Program details may adjust as we grow, always with the goal of providing the best possible experience for our young musicians.
