WHAT PEOPLE SAY

I have been with Legacy since their first show and it has become a huge part of my life since then. I made friends that very quickly became family and Legacy became a second home for me. I have been involved in all of their shows in some capacity and it is always a fun yet challenging experience and I always walk away from a better performer. One of my favorite things about Legacy is that we all learn so much from each other and everyone is so supportive. No matter if I am there for a voice lesson, dance lesson, or rehearsal, I always know I am entering a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is rooting for each other. When I decided to take a step back from performing and explore working backstage and the technical side of the theater, everyone was beyond encouraging and did their best to help me succeed. I am beyond thankful for Legacy and everything it has given me.

I’ve been with Jess for over 3 years and every single experience has been absolutely amazing. This is a great experience for old and new performers alike. The whole Legacy staff works hard as a family to ensure a safe and comfortable environment to grow and hone your skills. I am always looking forward to what is next!

I started at Legacy around the summer of 2021 and have no regrets whatsoever. Granted I already knew most of the people there but still it's such an amazing place to pursue theater. The director Jess is such a kind and talented person and the rest of the management is just as amazing. All the students are incredibly talented and very accepting of new people. Joining Legacy was one of the best decisions I think I’ve ever made. There my acting, singing, and dancing abilities have grown so much. I love everyone there so much and even years from now and I’m off doing whatever, Legacy will always hold a special place in my heart. If you’re looking for a great place to do theater, this is it.

Legacy has created more than a theatre but a family. I feel at home whenever I walk through those doors. It creates numerous opportunities for anyone and everyone. I live in Georgia but Legacy has still gifted me so many opportunities to come and perform with them. Along with that, they create some of the best performances I've ever seen. Everything is inventive, new, and altogether magical. Legacy fosters its students and never stops helping them learn, grow, and achieve the most they possibly can. And it doesn't matter if I have been gone a week, a month, or a year, when I come back I am at home and welcomed like I never left. When you come to Legacy, you become a part of this eternal family.

My time at legacy has been a wonderful experience where I have become a part of a family. Legacy is a great and comfortable place to learn about theater for new actors but will still challenge and push more experienced actors to reach even greater heights. Through legacy I have found new friends, hobbies and learning skills that I will take with me for the rest of my life. The students and teachers at Legacy are fun, kind, and always willing to help out when a student is struggling with a skill. My favorite thing about Legacy is the vision that Jess has. She always strives to do something new and exciting, pushing everyone to try their best and create a wonderful performance for an audience to see and enjoy.

Being a part of Legacy has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. The opportunities and community offered by the company are unmatched and I’ve made lifelong friendships with the people that I’ve performed with. Jess is the reason that I’m involved in theater at all, both with Legacy and elsewhere. She encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and audition for a show, and now four years later I’ve been a part of fourteen different productions in both on- and off-stage capacities and I’ve taken a minor in theater at NC State. Being a part of Legacy has definitely changed my life for the better!
