All performers will sing a solo at a closed audition and participate in a dance call.
• Prepare approximately 32 bars
• Songs do not need to be memorized
• Accompanist provided
• Bring sheet music if not auditioning for a principal role
• Wear movement-friendly clothing and appropriate footwear

Hadestown Teen Edition
PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION
Legacy Theater and Music Company is thrilled to announce auditions for Hadestown: Teen Edition, a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s haunting, jazz-infused folk opera, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
This powerful and deeply resonant musical tells the mythic tale of Orpheus and Eurydice — young dreamers traveling from hope to hardship — intertwined with the complex story of Hades and Persephone, set against a richly musical journey to the underworld and back.
In the Teen Edition, vocal arrangements and keys have been adjusted for teen voices, chorus parts are expanded, and material related to substance abuse and adult themes has been removed, making this version suitable and safe for young performers.
This production will be presented by Legacy Theater and Music Company as part of our Advanced Teen Program, offering an enriching, ensemble-driven theatrical experience.
