Jesus Christ Superstar
PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION
This is a volunteer community theatre production.
Non-Equity. There is no pay.
This production of Jesus Christ Superstar will be presented in a modern, anti-establishment style, leaning fully into the show’s heavy rock roots. This will be a bold, contemporary staging focused on raw storytelling, physicality, and emotional intensity.
This is not a traditional or period production. Performers should expect:
-
A contemporary aesthetic
-
Ensemble-driven storytelling
-
Strong movement and physical commitment
-
A gritty, unapologetic rock sound
We are seeking artists who are ready to commit fully — vocally, physically, and emotionally — to a powerful, modern interpretation of this iconic work.
